A photo history of the church

The original building where the First Free Will Baptist Church is located at Clay and W. Columbia Streets was constructed in 1881 by the Methodist denominaton. On September 13, 1901 the cornerstone was laid to build a new building. This building was bought from the Methodist in September of 1954.

The original sanctuary is still in use with some changes by reconstruction. A balcony that seats aqbout 200 was added in 1983.

The large stained-glass windows on the north sideof the building was donated by W.D. long. A beautiful pipe organ was donated by Mrs. Jane Bisby in 1909 is still in use each week.

 Former pastors are James Barker, Everett Hellard, Robert King, William Evans, James McAllister, Timothy Eaton and Roger L Hogan the present pastor service since August 1889.
