Mickie Hodge, Secretary

Mickie joined the church in 1971 and served as a Sunday School Teacher in the Junior Department and the Middle School Department for 18 years.  She has worked with the CTS Program in the music categories, Junior choirs and is active in the Adult choir, special music, serves as secretary for the General Board and Assistant church clerk. 

As church secretary, Mickie considers it a privilege to be working for the church and being able to help others and serve God in this position.  She began working as secretary in May 1992.  Prior to working as secretary she taught in the Christian Academy.  She has also been a professional tax preparer and quality control supervisor for 25 years.

Mickie's husband of 48 years, Jim is retired from the insurance business.  They have three adult children, Kathy, Jamie and Sean, two grandchildren Arianna (17) and Gus (11).

Mickie is a native of Tennessee and is proud of her southern heritage.

Her favorite scripture is Psalm 121. "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.  He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber.  Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.  The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.  The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.  The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."

 Rick grew up in the church as a young man and returned to work at the church two and a half years ago. He is married to Sandy and they have three children; Greg, Aslee, and Taylor.

His favorite Bible verse is John 3:16. "For God so loved the World that He gave Himself for it."

 

 

 

 

Euell Crossett, Custodian

He also grew up in the church and has worked in the church off and on around 15 years. His parents Gene and Joyce have attended the church for many years also with Euell's sisters LuAnn and Lisa who also are members.

His favorite Bible verse is also John 3:16.
